ANSWER: The Racetrack Playa of Death Valley. It is famous for 'sailing stones', rocks that mysteriously move across its surface.

These are the moving rocks of the racetrack playa. A playa is a dry lake bed.
They are interesting because no one knows how the rocks move to form the tracks.
Though recently a you tube video appeared to show how they are formed.
