In the naval battle of Trafalgar on 21st October 1805, the British fleet defeated the combined French and Spanish fleet. It's an interesting fact that more people died after the battle of Trafalgar due to the bad weather than during the whole battle itself. The few sailors who survived the battle lost as a result of the battle?

just a guess, but maybe their hearing? The deafening boom of cannons might have caused that.

I've found one interesting fact:
In the British Navy it was traditionally considered unlucky to have a woman on board ship, although this may be a more practical matter. Having a naked woman on a ship was considered good luck, however.

Like I said, it was a guess.
My other guess was going to be that they "lost their lunch" because the bad weather caused the ships to rock and made them sea sick. :)
