I 've found several different sources claiming ice hockey is the fastest team sport in the world. Unfortunately, couldn't find any relevant statistics or criteria to inform you why is that so. I guess this question will be reexamined and rephrased.
I think they aim at the objects then used to play the sport with, on top speed the pucks do go a bunch faster than in the regular balls used in many other sport, friction on ice is low and they're supposingly more aerodynamic.

Formula 1? One drive but an entire team backing up at the pitstops so I'd call it a team sport :P.
I was thinking bobsled - teams do that don't they? Those folks go FAST!
Of course, I was on the Delta Rocket team for awhile... Lemme tell ya, once the rocket launches, THAT'S FAST!!!

I think this question should go in the bin marked "duds" there are too many different meanings for "fastest" I think.
